Before the meeting starts, there was a preshow of hip-hop dance, led by Mel and Kok Sheng. That was GREAT! :]

Next, it was a mass dance led by Michelle and friends. Not bad I should say! (:

Up next was inNOcent's song singing!

Honestly, it was quite messy but we are glad that the audiences were really cooperative. They actually sang with us! And thay were clapping loudly! That were my motivation to move on. So touching!

But haha, Jingyuan and I were laughing away as well. It was because, for our performing part, there was a BUBBLY EFFECT. It was actually MANAUL! The guys in front were actually spraying and blowing the bubbles. The bubbles flew to the audiences instead! Then they started to "fan" the bubbles, and in the end, the bubbles managed to flew in our direction. ^_^

Frankly speaking, that was really funny! Haha!

After school last night, Shumei, Jingyuan and I went to TB for the full-dress rehearsal. When we reached there, it was raining HEAVILY - with thunder and lightning.

As the tables and chairs are all wet, the 3 of us have our packed dinner while standing up. Lols - eat under this bad conditions.

Then, I saw a BRIGHT light that striked across the sky, and came the loud bolt of thunder. Just then, the entire place blacked out - a short circuit I should say. =X

Thereafter, came the rehearsal. The hip-hop dance lead by Mel is really great.

After the rehearsal, I was asking around for their help to find the music. We approached the MCs first - Kok Sheng. Then he called for Mel. He asked him how to make the music without the song.

Guess his reply was funny and as if he HAD JUST answered a DUH! question:

"Err.. you have to find a PROFESSIONAL to do it; go STUDIO ..."

And Kok Sheng quickly responded:

"But I thought YOU were that PROFESSIONAL?"

Haha. In the end, we all burst out laughing.

TODAY in school has been a LONG DAY for me. :(

We had our Emaths test Paper 1 after school. Halfway through the paper, I began to feel really sleepy and tired.

And so, I just slept! Though it was just a few seconds, I thought it was like an hour! When I woke up, I quickly rushed through the paper. Alright, this has never happen to me in school, moreover, during a test!

I guess I'm really stressed and tired.

After the test, I got to know that even Jingyuan and Valerie slept during the test too!

Oh well.. This is a Sec4's life.
And I believe that I CAN definitely brave through this challenge!

Guzheng Ensemble SYF'07

YUPPS! Loyang Guzheng Ensemble SUSTAIN a SILVER award for today's SYF'07 - Secondary Level!

When we reached SCH today, it brought back memories 2 years ago when I was with my seniors at SYF'05. It was wonderful! =D

And I know we could have done better, but at least we have tried our best and managed to achieve a silver award. :)

GOOD JOB GUZHENG! I'M PROUD OF YOU!

Another schools that achieve BRONZE, SILVER & GOLD, really did well too! The 2 songs played by each school are really melodious. REALLY. :D

When they announced the results, I was so nervous and worried and excited. And I heaved a sigh of relief when we heard the word ".. LOYANG SECONDARY SCHOOL - SILVER!"

Most of my guzheng memebers cried - tears of joy and hard work. For me, neither do I feel sad nor happy. Probably because I was there at the Singapore Conference Hall 2 years back and I heard the same words: " .. LOYANG SECONDARY SCHOOL - SILVER!"

Deep in my heart, I'm glad and touched.

Some of our seniors did came along with us today. They reminded me of those beautiful days 2 years ago. And honestly, I really miss them alot! <3

My personal message to the ENTIRE LOYANG GUZHENG ENSEMBLE:

Leading the Guzheng Ensemble to such great heights isn't just my part. The credit goes to EVERYONE OF YOU PEOPLE! And I'm really PROUD of you guys! THANK YOU! XD For those tough training days, you are the ones, the entire guzheng board, not forgetting Shahnaz, Valerie and those who I have missed out, who have given me those warmth and happy moments; You are the ones, who have let me realised many important things in life. (: I'm glad and honoured to have met you guys and be with you guys throughout the whole year round. We have shared the joy and sorrow together. Now, the Sec4s can REALLY step down with GLORY! I HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOU GUYS AND I KNOW YOU WILL ALL DO WELL! So long, my beloved guzheng members! I will miss you guys! *smiles*

water "punishment"

I was told by Shenny today that I have not been updating my blog. But I have just updated last night! Haha lols. -_-''
Okay, just for her, HERE I am! :]

For every Mr Heng's Pure Physics lessons, it will always be challenging, exciting and ... SCARY! =X

At first, when we saw Mr Heng about to walk up the stairs to our class after recess, immediately, we dashed across the corridors and sprinted to our class. We were all exhausted by the time we reached the door of the classroom. And thus, we ALL dragged ourselves down to the floor and panted. The FUNNY thing was, all students in our class stared at us and some thought we were going to faint anytime. Wuahaha!

But in the end, Mr Heng delayed his time. >_<

Anyway, there is nothing special today. Shaik, Meiqi, Yanfen, me, Howard, Sonika, Valerie and Celestyn were "punished" for answering the wrong answer for easy questions.

And so what was the punishment?

Mr Heng's favourite and his well-known method:

Then Jingyuan, Shumei (as usual, the SAME people, -inNOcent-), and most of us were joking in the hall. Well you guys may say we are childish, but hey man, this is our way to release stress! Haha!

One day tour to Desaru XD

A group of us went to Desaru, Malaysia, yesterday. When I reached Malaysia, I still could not believe that I was there! This is because during this period, Mr Suhaimi is teaching us on the SETTLEMENTS; CASE STUDY OF PENINSULA MALAYSIA.

So when I reached there, I am glad that I have the basic contextual knowledge of Peninsula Malaysia. This has been a educational tour for me :)

What did I learn?

Pure Geography: SETTLEMENTS(eg. MOSTLY LINEAR due to the transportation network. This explains why the roads there are always narrow and straight); POPULATION DENSITY IN PENINSULA MALAYSIA(eg. KEDAH, KELANTAN & TERENGGANU); FISHING VILLAGES; PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY etc etc.

First, we went to the museum.

Then, the Crocodile World. This was really exciting! :D

Third, Desaru Fruit Farm. We had our sumptuous lunch there.

Then, back to Desaru Fruit Farm for the talk on HONEY! Sweet.. We bought many honey-based stuff. Haha.

After that, we had our FRUITS BUFFET. Ohh.. it was really full.

Thereafter, we went to the Desaru beach!

FINE AND SOFT SAND; WIDE AND LONG BEACHLINE; WARM SUNLIGHT; COOLING SEA BREEZE; BEACH ACTIVITIES; CLEAR BLUE SKY; BLUFFY CLOUDS!

We're about to reach our GOAL! Gambatte! :D

AIM HIGH PEOPLE! :]

This is where we get to walk into the agricultural gallery, featuring the life of many villagers in the fishing villages - Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu.

Then, we had our delicious seafood dinner at Kota Tinggi. We also get to know about the SERIOUS FLOODING there.

And finally, we had a hour or more ride on a long, narrow, dark and rocky road to witness the fireflies! When we reached our destination, we were asked to put on our life vest and then, prepared on a boat ride for fireflies exploration!

There were plenty of them on trees, just like a pretty Christmas tree with lightings! We managed to catch some and study them. But we still released them in the end. =D

Then we went to buy some local groceries before heading back to Singapore about midnight. For this whole one day journey, when we got onto the coach, we slept. Especially during that one hour ride at night. This was mainly due to the cool weather, rocky road, long ride, comfy coach and most importantly, there is no lighting along the roadside! For this point, I was quite amazed. It took about a hour road ride until we finally reached a place with buildings and lightings. However, this "light-up" lasted only about a few seconds, and we were back to the dark and rocky road again!

And so, we reached home at about 12.30am. I woke up at 2pm today. =X Though this trip was hot and tiring, I really learnt alot! And I do not regret for going! =]

P.S. In the coach, we were planning with the kind and friendly driver about the next holiday to Malacca and Cameron Highlands! Haha lols! XD

funny events

Today after school, Jingyuan, Shumei and I went to find Mr Suhaimi in the staff room.

BUT WE DID NOT EXPECT THAT JUST A TRIP TO THE STAFF ROOM TO FIND A TEACHER WILL CAUSE A SERIES OF EVENTS!

Firstly, we met MISS TOK outside the staff room. I was helping her to hold the door as she was talking to a student. Then when she was done, I was still holding on to the door because Shumei and Jingyuan wanted the cool air inside. Eventually, Shumei was standing next to the ajar door; Jingyuan put her fingers on the inside of the stuff room door as if she was holding on to the door, but in actual fact, I was the one holding on to it. Hehees.. .. After that, Miss Tok appeared all of a sudden and sort of reprimanded Shumei for holding on to the door; Shumei denied and POINTED her index finger to Jingyuan; Jingyuan then POINTED the same finger at me. At that moment, I thought, "Ohman. Miss Tok must be very angry with me.."

So just as I was about to let go of my hand, MR HAN came to my "rescue". He said,

"AHH! SIMIN, HELP ME OPEN THE DOOR."

Haha.. this was how I got out of the "angry situation". XD

Then after, while we were waiting for Mr Suhaimi to bring out the Pure Geography notes (I WAS STILL HOLDING ON TO THE DOOR), out came MR HENG. As I was standing at the back of the door, he did not see me at first, but later he found out and said,

"SIMIN ALSO.. NO POINT HIDING."

Wuahaha and this was how Shumei and I were "punished" for greeting him for 20 times. Jingyuan did not get "punished" as she managed to greet Mr Heng just in time.. but she was tongue-tied! LOLS.

After Mr Heng's incident, MR SUHAIMI finally came out of the staff room. I WAS STILL HOLDING ON TO THE DOOR.. He stared at me and asked in a shocked tone,

"ERR.. SO YOU HAVE BEEN HOLDING ON TO THE DOOR SINCE JUST NOW?"

And my reply was quite stupid and humourous,

Although by that time, Mr Han had already went into the staff room,

"BECAUSE JUST NOW MR HAN ONLY TELL ME TO OPEN THE DOOR FOR HIM. HE NEVER TELL ME TO CLOSE THE DOOR.."

-_-'' Okay guys, I'm sorry. My reply was L-A-M-E, LAME! =X

However, Mr Suhaimi still chuckled when he heard my response. Haha lols. =D

At last, came the sports day.

Wow.. those runners are REALLY FAST!

But overall, what is the good and honorable thing?

It is to be able to witness the Olympic runner, Mr Han, running!
