SUJ Exchange 2010

Wonderful experience with students from Soka University of Japan (Soka Kindergarten) and SUJ (Economics). I am deeply inspired by them. :)

Arrival

4 of the students from SUJ (SK) group were attached to us ASD.

We went to 老巴刹 for dinner after the meeting. Then headed to different places of attraction such as The Esplanade and Clarke Quay.

I have penned down my thoughts, experience, and determinations in my kosen-rufu diary. 5 pages long. Hence I shall not elaborate further here. Hee. :)

He will be flying over to Las Vegas in early March for rehearsal!
Proud and happy for him, to be able to sing and dance (passion) for his late idol who served as a great inspiration to him. It will be a great experience for him. :)

And yesterday, we had our second CO service learning. This time round was a joint SL together with Interact Club. Firstly, the Interact Club did the introduction and sang some CNY songs (they sang well). Following by was the performance by us. We played 2 orchestra pieces and individual sectional performances.

Prince Shim

HAPPY 22nd BIRTHDAY!

Hope he can eat as much as he wants (since he loves FOOD but can still remain tall & slim) on this special day. He is still growing (almost 190cm!) His long legs are like oh-my-tian.

Although being the youngest, he always take good care of his hyungs; he's also one with the deepest thoughts; does not like disturbance when he's reading (because his concentration span can be very long). Smart boy.

There was once an incident when our maknae accidentally ended our leader-sshi's game on his mobile phone. YH played it for 6 to 7 days in Japan without closing the phone cover, and he scored really high points. Thus, when CM accidentally hit the phone with his elbow, closing the cover, YH was really angry as though he wanted to break someone into half.

It came to my mind that our leader-sshi had also accidentally deleted ALL the data in maknae's MP3 (treasured possession)! When CM discovered that, he reacted just like YH. Hahaha. How cute are the both of them. :)

Friendship Week

BIG thanks to our Civics Tutor, Mdm Faten Hana, who purchased 19 heart-shaped balloons for EhOhFOUR! :D

When Drugs delivered the nineteen colourful balloons to class and convey Mdm Hana's love message to us, the entire class went "Awwwwww ....." in unison. When the distribution of balloons began, the girls (including myself =P) went:

"I WANT THE RED BALLOON!" ... "I WANT THE PINK BALLOON!" ... "I WANT THE BLUE ONE!" ... "I WANT GREEN!" ... "I WANT THE YELLOW ONE!" ... blah blah blah ....

This continued for a few minutes until everyone got one balloon. Haha.


Our class was so high that even the school attendant joined us in taking a group photo! (:


Anyway, we did some tough fitness training during PE lesson today. Now my arms muscles are aching. Can hardly lift up both of my hands.

And so the Emperor of our class went Bangkok, Thailand today. Going overseas during this festive season isn't any thing unusual but he actually went off after completing Econ Mid-Term Assessment this morning, where school had barely started! Being the Emperor and one of those guai-kias in our class, JJ is also our Vice-Chairperson who does well in his studies, it's really weird funny/cool to just take the Pink Form and happily flew to Bangkok - JUST LIKE THAT, WITH A SNAP OF YOUR FINGERS.

Marathon of Hope

The video this morning was an inspiring and touching one. It almost teared me.
I'm easily moved by this kind of video. Each time I watched, I always asked myself, "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Recently, I'm listening to Heart, Mind and Soul (in my playlist by the way). Recommended song. It's sentimental and makes me feel calm and relaxed. Definitely, it's another song that brings out the boys' talent in singing.

Today, a special/unique/friendly/sweet/compassionate/diligent/ *INSERT ANY NICE WORDS HERE* young lady turns NINETEEN! :D

What she did on her birthday:
1) Jogged around the college boundaries and many HDB blocks during PE (approximately 3.1km)
2) Had lessons till 5pm
3) Slept on the bus on her journey back home
4) Stayed indoors

Yah, I was too tired after a long day in school. Hence I decided to rest at home, took a nap, had dinner, replied birthday wishes on FB and mobile phone, and here I am now. :]

Thank you A04 (together with Mr Chow) and my CLL mates (together with Huang Lao Shi) for singing the birthday song (and so much of the suspense and surprises). Thank you to all for the wishes (and presents) via FB, blog, mobile phone, and (even) handshake! Really appreciate that a lot. :)

As I flipped open the birthday card, a HUGE YH picture (with his signature) during Mirotic period appeared right before my eyes. Indeed, that picture (and many other small pictures of YooSuHo as well as YH's 'precious' moment) makes me smile unconsciously from time to time. Hee. Not even to mention AhMao's photoshop skills, so great! [: The birthday wishes written by my friends on the card are just so touching. P.S. I ♥ the sunflower! 'cos it is so bright and cheerful! Thank you, Ching, Drugs, and Ethel! (:

HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY TO REBECCA & SIN YING TOO!
Our birthday falls on 4 February lalala~ (:

Woohoo! YH's birthday will be 2 days from now! (:
And know what, I'll be having tuan yuan fan with my family and relatives on the same day (this Saturday)! [Just ignore the next sentence if you find me crazy]
I will imagine reunion with YH and celebrating our birthdays together hehe. =P
In addition, maknae CM's birthday will be EXACTLY 2 weeks from now (also on a Thursday)! Hoho.

2010 Student Division Kenshukai

It was my second Kenshu (if I remember correctly) and it was also my first ever overnight one. :)

First of all, I met many comrades whom we've knew each other since we first joined the Future Division six years ago. In particular, Angelica, whom we had one-to-one sincere dialogue during the Kenshu.
It was really heart-warming! (= We first met during our participation in YCF 2005 as youthful hip-hop dancers. And time flies! She just completed her 'A' Levels in MJC! Our conversation lasted until 3am plus (before falling asleep). Our topics ranged from studies to working life. It was like a get-together with a long lost friend, updating one another with own happenings.

Next up, Vanessa's testimony was extremely motivating and touching. As she was sharing her challenges and victories, tears started to roll in my eyes. This was beacause as compared to Van's struggles, I realised that the challenges I am facing are of nothing!

"When our prayers are not yet answered, it's beacause we are
NOT determined enough to overcome our problems."

These words striked me deeply.

As the youthful struggles of our mentor flashed on the screen, I felt a warmth gashing out from my heart and body. Again, tears almost rolled down my cheeks. I felt as though I was connected to Sensei and that I can do even more for my mentor!

On my journey back home from the Kenshu, I received a sms from my YWD, Zhi Yin. I was encouraged by her words. Thanks dearie! :)

During the leaders' appointment at the Kenshu, Zhi Yin was appointed as a Student-IC for TPJC-YWD. Both of us can now work together (shoulder to shoulder) in the same college for the advancement of kosen-rufu! Yay! In addition, Jing Yuan was also appointed as Campus-IC for TPSD! Seeing once-my-YWD-members developing into great individuals, and courageously taking up the leadership role, I could not find a word to describe that kind of joy.

Besides the aforementioned, I also got to meet some of the Year One TPJCians! :D
Made friends too. Many lessons learnt and one of which is to create value-creative time from moment to moment, day to day.

It was definitely a Kenshu worth attending. ^^
