牽心萬苦

I'd inception in my afternoon nap yesterday before hitting the gym. I literally forced myself out from the dream as the last scene totally scared me off.

Anyway, overheard this song at the gym yesterday.

的確，人生中有許多人事物一直讓我們牽挂在心頭。

This 5-day trip was indeed fulfilling. When we touched down at Taoyuan International Airport on 9/11 in the early morning 05:30, we went to Yilan. At Yilan，we explored many places but one day is really not enough to complete the course. We went hostels-hopping,  and my brother tried cliff parachute, etc. before heading back to Taipei in the late evening. Back in Taipei, we met up with friends who hosted us to a simple lunch/dinner.

And so after my mother and brother departed for Singapore on Monday, I felt empty. Then I realize how important family is to me. They hold a certain priority in my life.  

Without family, a part of you seems missing.
Without family, you feel lost.

Yes, indeed.

Wedding Bells

Attended my cousin's wedding dinner from the maternal side. It had been n years since I last met them. Everyone has changed. 

I bet we would not even recognise ourselves as cousins if we were on the streets.
And guess what? That's pretty worrisome.

What will the future generation become?

Daughter: "Dad, I'm in love with a boy who is far away from me. I am in Australia and he lives in the UK . We met on a dating website, became friends on Facebook, had long chats on Whatsapp, he proposed to me on Skype and now we've had two months of relationship through Viber. Dad, I need your blessings and good wishes."

Father: "Wow! Really!! Then get married on Twitter, have fun on Tango, buy your kids on Amazon and pay through Paypal. And if you are fed up with your husband....sell him on Ebay."

New technology is meant to increase productivity and improve efficiency. Nonetheless, have we, the smart human species who have invented these products, abuse its use unknowingly?
