Compassion, Love & Hope

Hi to all, I have been rather busy with my assignments, project work, faculty tests, exams and stuffs, thus, this explains why I haven't been blogging for quite a while.

Well, many things happened, yet many things have changed.

I believe most of us were shocked by the recent Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar, followed by the earthquake in Sichuan, China.

Some of my CG mates were reading the newspaper the other day. Pictures of victims from the quake in Sichuan and students crying for they've lost their loved ones really pained us. I could see tears rolling in the eyes of some of my CG China mates. I, do feel a sense of compassion for them. Let's all send abundant daimoku to the victims in China!

Once, Yan Fen asked me, whether the world has came to an end, for these 2 natural disasters that has took place in Myanmar and China actually took away many lives and left many homeless and missing.

I should say that these natural disasters actually gathered many people around the globe to help as much as we can! The world will never come to an end when there's still compassion, love and hope!

Imagine that you're juggling many balls in your hands, and each ball symbolises different aspects of your life. Which crystal ball do you think, that we should never let go?

Now, although I'm still spending most of my time in my studies and assignments, I will still make it a habit to spend some time with my family, especially with my parents, even if it is just for a minute before bed. A hug makes me feel the love, care, concern, warmth and being secured. (:

Before I went to bed on Thursday night, I had an hour of dialogue with my Mum who was then, in the living room snitching the Gakkai pouch. We recalled the past, especially when my Grandmother was in her deathbed many years back. All I can say is that, my Grandmother was courageous; my Mum's great.

The bond forged between my Mum and I is through this kind of heart-to-heart dialogue, and of course, working together on this path of kosen-rufu.

Thank you, Mum. I love you! (=

Alright, this post has been rather long and emotional eh? I think this is my longest post so far! Haha. So back to me: Chemistry tutorials have always been filled with laughters and joy, for I have a funny tutor and humorous CG mates. JC life is indeed busy, yet sometimes, the jokes cracked by us and the tutor actually brighten up our day. This is one of the fun side of being in JC. Everyone is working hard, yet we still laugh out loud. HEES. :D

Some CG mates actually serve as a catalyst for me to speed up in my work, and to reflect on my actions and words. THANK YOU. (:

Okie, I'll be having my GP and Economics SA papers on Friday. After then, consecutive lectures and tutorials during my first week of June holidays. And then, SA Exams for the other subjects on the very first day when school reopens in Term 3. It will be a busy June holidays for me! Haha.

TPJC Annual Track & Field Meet 2008

Guess what, this is my ever FIRST track medal won so far.
We felt a sense of achievement & accomplishment. (:

Just like last year, the overall House Champion this year is still Hawk!
It was a magnificent moment for us! (=

All I can say is,

TPJC Daimokukai

There was a J1 Econs subject test in the late afternoon today. After school, the library was PACKED with all the J1s, studying for the test. When it was time to go to our respective venue for the test, the WHOLE BUNCH of us left the library.

However, the funny thing was that my class actually ran from the Auditorium to other Lecture Theatres, and then back to the Auditorium, for we thought we went to the wrong venue!
YES, THE WHOLE CLASS RAN, ALONG CORRIDORS, GENERAL OFFICE....

After waiting for Joel and Ming Yuan for House cheerleading and lessons respectively today, we met up at 7pm in the college canteen extension. Then we made our way to Blk 201 for dinner, then proceed to Eunice's place for daimokukai.

I didn't know that Xiaotong is also a SSA member in TPJC-Choir, until this afternoon.

We chanted for about 1 hour, for the great success of Xiaotong's operation tomorrow.

I realised that for those ASD members whom I knew, most of them are ex-TPJCians. Just like tonight, Kai Li (I think that's his name), a 19-year-old guy who is currently serving the Army, used to be in TPJC-Volleyball. Haha.

Anyway, I like it when I attend Gakkai activities straight from college, wearing the college attire, especially with all the ASD members from the same college. Kinda unique and bonded. (:

CIP & CO Concert

We did CIP yesterday. We went around collecting old newspaper and old clothing at different blocks in Tampines. It's quite tiring, but I enjoyed it especially with my classmates around. We had fun, and joked along the way. (:

How fortunate to have rained in the morning, thus, making the morning and afternoon weather cooling and windy. (:

How fortunate am I, to have come across an unit, of which, they are also SSA members. (:

How fortunate am I, to be in 08S29, with my lovely and humourous classmates who always bring joy and laughters to me. (:

Towards the end of our CIP, I took a cab to college. There, the CO members boarded the buses, and together, we headed to VJC for East Zone JCs CO Concert. The 5 JCs involved were MJ, VJ, TJ, TPJ, and DHS (Senior High). The entire concert was a great success! TPJC CO was the second last item.

My mum and brother were there to support me! :D Some of my classmates were there as well.

The VJC CO President reminded, and sort of 'enlightened' me yesterday before the concert begin. He said something like, " ... we all gather here today, because all of us, just like me, have the passion to perform..."

How fortunate to have a VJC CO coordinator, suggesting that we should get 2 guys to help us carry the guzheng up and down the stage, since Weng Yi and I were wearing heels. (: THANKS, MATTHIEW AND ZHI SHENG!

How fortunate are we to have such wonderful CO seniors who are there to help us. (: THANKS, SENIORS!

Let me share what I had for the entire yesterday:
Since morning at home, I had a cup of hot milo with bread; during CIP, kaya bun; on the bus to VJC, curry bun and a bottle of mineral water; during rehearsal break, bread with ham and egg = ALL FLOUR.

Only until at night, back in college, ex-TPJC CO Seniors offered each of us a chocolate bar. (= Then, back at home, I had my very first carbohydrate proper dinner of the day.

Amazing huh? LOLS.

Ngam Teck's Birthday

08S29 celebrated Ngam Teck's birthday today in the canteen after our SPE lesson. We bought her a chocolate cake and a present!

My updates for the week

Hihi! I haven't been blogging for about 2 weeks or so. This is due to my college assignments, tests, exams, and commitment.

Alright, first of all, my class got into the 12X100m, 4X100m, and 4X400m relay Girls FINALS! :D

Last Friday after my Chemistry Practical, I met up with Yan Fen, Wingx, Jing Yuan, and Celeste. We had lunch and desserts.

All seemed shy eh? (:

Well, maybe not for me ... (:

... but with the exception of her. HAHA. (:

Okie, so what's happening this week?

A friend in CO and I are wanted for the East Zone JCs CO Concert. We will be playing the guzheng. Actually, this was rather last minute. We could be practising our pipa and liuqin during sectionals, but they needed guzheng players all of a sudden. Hence, our VP approached us. And tada ~ we are involved in the concert on 19 April at VJC!

JC pace is fast. We have to be consistent in our studies each day, at the same time, coping with external commitment like CCA. Therefore, I will not update my posts unless neccessary, or when I am able to find time for it, amidst my busy schedule.

Nonetheless, you guys can check out my events under the
'COLOURFUL SCHEDULE' column, for I will update it. (=

For the subsequent weeks to come, I will be in a 'REAL BUSY' mode. On some days, I will have some clashes with my events and stuff.
I will see to it, no worries. (:
