The bat

Actually, I don't wish to post this entry. It will make my hair stand.. =X

2 days before, Valerie and I were walking down the stairs to our next lesson. Then the guys behind and infront rushed us to walk down the flight of stairs quickly.

Shaik was like saying: "Girls, quick leave this place! FASTER."

Valerie and I gave each other a what-on-Earth-is-happening kind of face. After that, Derek (G) swinged his bottle really hard and out it flew to the very top ceiling.

At that VERY SHORT moment, I wondered why he did that. And suddenly, a huge brown bat flew out of our sight!

Valerie screamed. For a second, I thought the creature would fly to our direction, so I let out a yell.

But I just have got the feeling that it has flew into our classroom....

The next morning after flag raising, we went back to our class. Upon approaching the class, I was wondering if the bat was inside. I saw most of the guys and girls were going to open the door. Just then, IT FLEW OUT!! The girls yelled and the guys were shocked!

AND TODAY.. THE SAME THING HAPPENED! But this time, the guys were very careful when they opened the door, and guess what?

THE BAT FLEW OUT ... AGAIN!!!

Now that this incident happens, we were extremely cautious when we walked down or up the same staircase and also, it teaches us a lesson:

That is, be really careful and cautious when you open the door. Who knows that what will be hidden inside??

The whole lot of us went up the stage to lead the toast.

THAT toast was my LONGEST and LOUDEST toast I have ever done.

Our lungs and stomach were as if they were gonna burst at any one time. :P

This Indian style of wedding dinner was FUN and GREAT!! :D

We cheered, we laughed, we ate, we drank, we sang, we played and we took photos HERE and THERE etc.

We really had FUN yesterday night!

those camp days..

I just feel strange even though the camp was over. During the camp, we always hear and see the aeroplanes flying over our head and they are that near that we were covered by the shadow! At first I find it noisy, but as the days went by, I'm getting used to it and I'm starting loving that kind of sound! It just gave me a WARMTH and UNUSUAL feeling. Although we only spent about 3D2N at Changi campsite, the wonderful time, the pain, the lessons learnt seems that we had spent many days, weeks in the camp!

THAT kind of feeling can't be describe in words.
YOU just have to feel them yourself!

Now that we have to go back to school, we find the school an unfamiliar place - the concrete floor, the HOT AND HUMID enclosed area. We seems to prefer the nature kind of things.
Really. No kidding.

We went to Kampong Glam and Little India for our learning journey today. Each of the group member is given the chance for orienteering the places, and every members PARTICIPATED ACTVELY and as an UNITED group, we managed to complete all the task before the time allocated. ^_^

Upper Sec School Camp

I came back from the overnight camp at Changi Coast Adventure Centre this afternoon.

We stayed for 3D2N.. Tomorrow we will be continuing with our learning journey.

DAY 1

We had kayaking and cycling.

Same as OBS last year, Zhi Cheng was still my kayaking partner.

This time round, we kayak for only 2km.

When we reached the coast, I realised that it was the Outward Bounders

who were first to reach. Zhi Cheng and I were second.

Then I realised the benefits that we had gained during OBS. :]

I did not get sunburnt this time. I got abit tanned just all.

Fear of OBS experience of getting 2nd degree burnt again,

I applied alot of sunblock lotion before getting into the water - SPH 65 PA++.

DAY 2

Yesterday, my group went for orienteering @ Ubin.

I can tell you guys that by walking or trekking around Ubin,

it's more than enough for you to exercise. We sweat alot.

After that, we did our CIP @ Geylang East Senior Citizens Healthcare Centre.

A volunteer pulled me and a few of my friends to talk to a dementia patient.

The main purpose was to delay her time for going back.

If not, she would just loiter around the whole clinic.

We just have to delay the time to around 3pm,

however,

the patient got so excited talking about her past as a

talented tailor that we only walked off at about 3.30pm!

Then came the GRAND CAMPFIRE at night!

It was fantastic man! Definitely FUN and EXCITING!!!

Various groups were to put up a performance and then

we had many cheers, songs and games!

WOOHOO!!!

DAY 3

TODAY

we had to do

high ropes elements and CRC

(Challenging Ropes Course).

My group was assigned to do the ROCK CLIMBING only.

For this, halfway through, my hands and legs were trembling.

When I managed to climbed to the top and get back down,

the feeling of accomplishment is really GREAT.

From there, somehow, I just got the courage to try out the ABSEILING!

In the end, I completed that as well!

YEAA!

After that, it then came the CRC.

Same as the previous activites, I completed it SUCCESSFULLY!

From all these experiences, I realised that

ONCE WE HAVE THE COURAGE TO DO SOMETHING,

WE WILL JUST MOVE ON AND COMPLETE ODSTACLES BY OBSTACLES

AND EVENTUALLY, WE WILL LEARN AND GAIN SOMETHING DURING THE PROCESS.

And these something will be our GREAT EXPERIENCE IN LIFE! :)

Overall, I really learn and gain alot from the instructors

(eg Instructor Cyril - a friendly, caring and hilarious leader who's organised

and serious during work ;

Instructor Ellis - the "shuaii!" guy who's always humorous).

new updates

I have been so busy with common tests and piles of homework nowadays,

hence, I could not have the time to do some updating!

hahaas..

now, common tests are finally over.

However, next week will be the UPPER SEC CAMP WEEK!

Then the following week is the March holiday.

But to the Sec4s, it will not be a holiday, instead,

it's TIME-FOR-REVISION week!

We are given many homework and are instructed to complete them during the holidays.

For me, that holiday week will be packed with Amaths and Pure Chemistry tutorials,

and CCA practices.

I have finally realised that SEC4 life isn't easy after all.

But it's okay!

2 days before, my cousins from New York came to visit us.

3 years back when Kaili hasn't born yet, Feifei was still a baby girl!

And 3 years later, she came with her baby sister!

I was surprised when I saw them!

Be'cos Kaili really looks alike like Feifei when she was still a baby then!

hehees.. I hope to see them again - be it in Singapore or in New York.

We had CAPTAIN'S BALL instead of FLOORBALL for PE yesterday

due to the wet weather.

Some of the girls passed the ball using VOLLEYBALL method!

haha I believe we are very obsessed over volleyball!
VOLLEYBALL is still the girls' FAVOURITES!

Then came the NAFA test after the common test in the afternoon.

SHUTTLE RUN is my strong station.

And some of us wanted to redo the standing broad jump and so

after everything was done yesterday, it was already 6.30pm!

THUS, WHAT'S THE RESULT?

We get muscles ache here and there.

We also have problems climbing up the stairs and standing up.

"AWW!!" is the comment made by us.
