If you love 「天后」, then you might favorite this song as well. :)
It seems that the two songs are linked.

After the school concert on Friday, I find that 陳勢安 is a cordial singer who care for and pay attention to his fans. A nice person, indeed.

It's Double Tenth National Day in Taiwan!
It seems to me that the last Double Tenth happened just recently; couldn't believe that one year has already passed! In fact a day earlier, Tumblr actually sent me an email to wish my account a happy third birthday! Hahaha the Tumblr account is a platform to post interesting stuff that are irrelevant. XD

Anyway, this should be in the third week since I'm back from my summer vacation but it actually feels like months. The first week was a struggle; probably because of fatigue, home-sickness sets in, and hence I broke down in the midst of unpacking in the dormitory. It took me more than a week to adjust back to the life here. I see this inner struggle as a part of growing up.

After then, I started getting busy like a bee with school work and orientation. Albeit the typhoon, the orientation camp was a great success. In retrospect, that rigorous period of planning and meeting until past midnight was a learning journey to create memories that are worth keeping for a lifetime!

C O U R A G E 勇 氣

I'd a dialogue on Saturday.

Courage is really the key to almost everything, it is the vital fundamental level before anything else. Courage to say "I'm sorry", courage to say "Thank you", courage to make a decision, courage to take that first step, courage to admit one's mistakes, courage to face one's weakness, courage to face any adversity, courage to move on, courage to be alone (yes, even this requires courage), etc.

There are things that I gotta challenge and overcome.
Looking forward to the Sophomore year; yet, reluctant to leave my homeland.

  1. Simple things in life; little things that matter.
  2. The importance of the seemingly unimportant things.

Many Stories, One Singapore

Having this overwhelmed with emotions patriotic feel on this special day, more so than ever.

The appearance of our Founding Father at the parade adds on to my overwhelming emotions. Images of how he had led a little nation to what we are now - standing strong on the global stage - flow through in my head. He has lay a strong foundation for our nation, for our citizens, and "for our children."

This is a city that has come a long way. We should never forget our starting point, because that is where we took the first step in achieving our goal, our dream. Founding Father, pioneers, citizens of different races - There are Many Stories, nevertheless, we are One Singapore.

Once again,

Happy Birthday, Singapore!

Summer Break

It is the time of the year and I'm back for summer holidays!
Enjoying every moment in Singapore now, and being with family and friends!
The first meeting I attended during this break was the Zone Leaders Meeting; I felt great seeing all those familiar faces, just like family members!

When I came back, the haze took a turn away from the nation. Then, Taiwan faced Typhoon Soulik. While still in Taiwan, I faced three earthquakes (aftershocks). Now I understand why some people face post-traumatic phobia after a natural hazard...

People in Singapore are really fortunate, at times, most of us take certain privileges for granted. Probably, in our lifetime, we should at least once stay abroad for a period of time; then we will learn to appreciate the things that we have. Be humble.

"I do."

It just so happen that some SG friends have all (going to be) been engaged! They are of the same age as I am, or probably a year older. It really takes the courage to say the two words, and the fact that the couples are ready to share the commitment of a lifetime together is courageous and admirable. Congratulations to the various pairs of couples! ^^ -tears of joy-

Well, as I gathered my thoughts, I learn that in every phase of life, there are always different things/matter to deal with. Younger, we gossiped about the-who and the-who were in a relationship; at this age, we (probably) chatter about who is getting married; as we get older, it will most probably be Mothers' and/or Fathers' talk; so on and so forth. I call this, life.

One more week and I will be heading home.
I miss home more than anything else.

As for now, gotta complete those reports and battle the exam week!
