08S29 Chalet (=

I just want to update you guys that ...

I HAVE CHANGED MY MOBILE PHONE! ^^

At first, I thought I will still change to another Sony Ericsson model, after all, my previous Sony Ericsson phone had been through thick and thin with me for about 5 years! Nonetheless, I changed it to a Samsung model.

P.S. My mobile number remains the same.

Alright, back to my class chalet on Sunday.

We also so-called held a farewell party for our Economics tutor, Miss Joyce Soh, as she will be leaving for university soon.

ALL THE BEST TO YOU, MISS SOH!

Yeap, so because we were having fun that day, some stayed overnight but due to the fact of not having enough sleep, thus, on the following day, which was a Monday, some went dozing off during lectures. LOLS.

Hence what we have learnt is that we should not have any chalet the day before lectures! Haha.

Dance. Dance. Dance.
I'm coming! (:

ASD HR Production & Discussion Meeting (:

POOF! ASD HR Production on 24 May was a great success! Many thanks to those who have made this a victorious one! THANK YOU. THANK YOU. (=

After the ASD Institution meeting at Jurong SCC that day, I travelled back to Bugis for my discussion meeting. I thought I should deserve a sweet treat, so I went to the nearby Mac' and bought a Mcflurry! HAHA. ^^

For the discussion meeting that night, Mrs Chua taught us the culture of Japanese Tea. It was a meaningful one, especially with a moving scene by father-&-son; mother-&-daughters; WDs, and MDs.

All in all, I enjoyed myself with my comrades in faith that day.

Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant

Vesak Day today and
it's also my Grandma's birthday!

We had our dinner at Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant, located at Keppel Road. The lift has only Button 1 & Button 9. The restaurant is situated at the top storey. Although it's at the 9 storey, it's actually about 20 to 30 plus or even more storey high!

The amazing part of this restaurant is that it takes about 1 and a half hour to revolve one entire round. And when the dishes are served, there will always be about 2 or more waitresses or captains standing around our table. We have to reserve a table beforehand, if not, they would not entertain you.

Alright, I do not know how to describe my excitement, so let the pictures do the talking! (:

It's revolving!

Different Stories.

Under the rubble, a young child,
who has lost her hands and legs,
sang a children song.

"Why are you still singing when
you're in pain?" Someone asked.

The girl replied,
"Because I will feel less painful
when I sing."

Under the rubble, a young man
was calling his wife who is
3-month pregnant, informing her
that he's all right.

"I'll live on."
The man reassured his wife.

Hours later, when the fire-fighters
finally managed to save the young man
out from the rubber...

"I can't hold on any longer..."

Those, those were the last words before
he closed his eyes...

"You've already persevere that far,
yet why did you give up at
this moment?!"

Looking down at the
still body, the fire-fighters & a
reporter exclaimed helplessly...

Compassion, Love & Hope

Hi to all, I have been rather busy with my assignments, project work, faculty tests, exams and stuffs, thus, this explains why I haven't been blogging for quite a while.

Well, many things happened, yet many things have changed.

I believe most of us were shocked by the recent Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar, followed by the earthquake in Sichuan, China.

Some of my CG mates were reading the newspaper the other day. Pictures of victims from the quake in Sichuan and students crying for they've lost their loved ones really pained us. I could see tears rolling in the eyes of some of my CG China mates. I, do feel a sense of compassion for them. Let's all send abundant daimoku to the victims in China!

Once, Yan Fen asked me, whether the world has came to an end, for these 2 natural disasters that has took place in Myanmar and China actually took away many lives and left many homeless and missing.

I should say that these natural disasters actually gathered many people around the globe to help as much as we can! The world will never come to an end when there's still compassion, love and hope!

My blog song that you're listening now, is sang by JJ Lin Jun Jie. This song was composed for the victims in China. It is indeed a very touching song.

Imagine that you're juggling many balls in your hands, and each ball symbolises different aspects of your life. Which crystal ball do you think, that we should never let go?

It is the crystal ball of FAITH.
With faith, the other balls that might fall from our hands, they will still bounce back.

Now, although I'm still spending most of my time in my studies and assignments, I will still make it a habit to spend some time with my family, especially with my parents, even if it is just for a minute before bed. A hug makes me feel the love, care, concern, warmth and being secured. (:
Thanks Mum, for allowing me to hug you! (:

Before I went to bed on Thursday night, I had an hour of dialogue with my Mum who was then, in the living room snitching the Gakkai pouch. We recalled the past, especially when my Grandmother was in her deathbed many years back. All I can say is that, my Grandmother was courageous; my Mum's great.

The bond forged between my Mum and I is through this kind of heart-to-heart dialogue, and of course, working together on this path of kosen-rufu.

Thank you, Mum. I love you! (=

Alright, this post has been rather long and emotional eh? I think this is my longest post so far! Haha. So back to me: Chemistry tutorials have always been filled with laughters and joy, for I have a funny tutor and humorous CG mates. JC life is indeed busy, yet sometimes, the jokes cracked by us and the tutor actually brighten up our day. This is one of the fun side of being in JC. Everyone is working hard, yet we still laugh out loud. HEES. :D

Some CG mates actually serve as a catalyst for me to speed up in my work, and to reflect on my actions and words. THANK YOU. (:

Okie, I'll be having my GP and Economics SA papers on Friday. After then, consecutive lectures and tutorials during my first week of June holidays. And then, SA Exams for the other subjects on the very first day when school reopens in Term 3. It will be a busy June holidays for me! Haha.

Take care people
& catch up soon!

Remember, despite your hectic work or busy study schedule,
please spend time with your family and loved ones!
Let us all be satisfied with what we have.
Do not make comparison with others.

"What we should compare, however, is not ourselves against others.
We should compare who we are today against who we were yesterday,
who we are today against who we will be tomorrow." ~Ikeda Sensei

Meaningful Quote by Ikeda Sensei (:

Just came across this meaningful interview by Sensei.
Adapted from DAISAKU IKEDA WEBSITE

I'm deeply touched by Sensei..

Sensei said, "...I am neither a politician nor a policy specialist. I am sure there is much lacking in my proposals. I continue to write and issue these proposals in my capacity as a private citizen in the hope that they will help deepen the debate on critically important issues and aid the search for a way out of our present quandary. And there are a number of ideas, such as the U.N. Decade of Education for Sustainable Development, that have been realized in cooperation with fellow NGOs and relevant U.N. agencies.

I have a very deep faith in the capacities of young people. I believe there is nothing young people cannot do--no reality they cannot change--if they set their minds to it. In writing these proposals, my greatest hope, my determination and commitment is to sow the seeds of change in young people's hearts."

Sensei's greatest hope, determination, and effort
in fostering the youth.. ^_^
