LYSS Commendation Day

So LYSS Commendation Day was held in the morning today. Thiagu, Yan Fen and I were excused from TPJC because of that. It was a rather cool thing to wear a blazer and tie when we walked up the stage to receive the 'O' Level award. Hee. (:

Best in GCE 'O' Level 2007 Chinese Language (:

William now looks more like a future Musician ever since he has enrolled in some SP's course on music. Sonika's as usual, crazy about Mr Depp. Haha. I was told that Temasek JC's Year 1 Promotional Examinations will begin in end September, which is like 2 weeks later than Tampines JC! Our first paper will be on 8 September! So Sonika, Yan Fen and I stayed in LYSS for a couple of hours, talking to Ms Tok, Ms Chee, Mrs Chew and many more other teachers and LYSS Staff.

Today was quite a special day for the 3 of us because we had some of our FIRST TIME:

- As prize winners, we get to have our lunch reception in the library.
- One of the VPs brought us up to the 2nd level of the library. There, we met Mr Lau (New P), Mr Nasir (VP), Mr Vincent (Captain for Boys' Brigade) and many other teachers...
- We were actually invited by Mr Lau in to the conference room, where we indulged ourselves to the "Durian Feast" (and mangosteens - Queen of Fruits, rambutans) with some other teachers, HODs and school staff.

And thanks to Mrs Cheong, who managed to encourage Sonika to have a taste of her 1st bite of durian! Congrats, Sonika! Hees. XD

She's trying her best...

And there goes her 1ST TIME! :D

LYSS has given me ample opportunities to excel. Through the experiences of doing School Presentations, Class Presentations, Guzheng Ensemble etc for 4 years in LYSS, I've learnt public speaking skills. This, indeed, benefits me. At least, I'm not as nervous as before when it comes to giving a presentation, or even impromptu situations.

Sonika and I recalled all the funny and crazy things we did during our 4 years in LYSS. We laughed. Come to think of them, those things we did were nonsense, nonetheless, those were the crazy moments we had. (:
Ahh, those were our fond memories in Loyang Secondary School... (=

Hence we all left LYSS at about 4pm plus, with a sense of fulfilment! :DD
